Artist notes

Inspired by that moment of alertness, attentive and motionless, watching and listening. The hare and its base were constructed using a smooth and grogged stoneware clay,  fired and treated with oxides and some underglaze colour to highlight a pinkish blush inside the ears and white under the tail.
