Inspired by the wildlife adjacent to the buyers house on the Beaulieu river this wall art was commissioned  for a narrow wall space above shelving.  The concept was sketched out first and scaled up to life size. The first goose was sculpted in clay and a special plaster press mould created of the body so that the other geese would be of a similar size and shape. The wings were all then created individually and attached for the different positions of the geese in flight.  A number of extra geese were made so that the most appropriate could be selected after firing. The white stoneware clay was coated in unglazed porcelain and fired. Each goose was then hung individually on the wall according to the original design.
